Member accounts and Supabase

Verified member accounts use Supabase to store your email address, authentication information, full date of birth, display name, biography, birthday visibility choices, blocks, and reports. Your date of birth is used to enforce adult registration and match birthday month and day. Password authentication is handled by Supabase; your password is not displayed to other members.

Your full birth date and email are not returned in member search results. Discovery is off initially. If you opt in, verified birthday twins can see your chosen display name, biography, and birthday month and day. Birth dates are self-declared, not independently verified identity documents.

Authentication emails are sent through the configured Microsoft 365 mailbox. Supabase, Microsoft, and the site operator process the information needed to provide account and email services. See Supabase privacy information and Microsoft privacy information.

Account controls and deletion

You can change profile visibility, block or unblock members, and submit a private report from the member page. Reports are available to the operator for review. Account deletion removes your sign-in, profile, blocks, and reports you submitted from the active member database. It does not remove another person's reports about an incident, provider security logs, or provider backups immediately. Contact help@bdaytwins.com for privacy questions.

The initial member release does not provide shared posts, private messages, media uploads, or paid memberships. The older demo stores sample activity locally and is separate from your member account.

Information stored on your device

The separate demo saves profile details, selected birthday, preferences, follows, favorites, posts, likes, and sample messages in browser local storage. A previously entered phone number may remain in older saved profiles. Uploaded media and profile pictures can be saved in browser storage, including IndexedDB. These features do not create a server account or deliver messages to other members.

How to remove local information

The app’s account settings include a local demo reset. To remove all stored information, including uploaded media, use your browser’s site-data controls to clear storage for bdaytwins.com. Clearing site data may not remove information separately saved or shared outside the site.

Hosting and external requests

Netlify hosts the site. When a browser requests pages or assets, the hosting service receives technical request data such as IP address and browser information. The app also loads some third-party resources, including Google Fonts, sample portraits from Pravatar, and remote sample imagery or video. Their providers receive the requests needed to serve those resources. Opening external source links takes you to another provider.

For provider information, see Netlify’s privacy policy and Google’s privacy policy. This page does not set those providers’ retention periods or practices.

Advertising and purchases

Google’s AdSense script is installed to connect this site for review. Manual banner placements remain disabled pending site approval and applicable consent configuration. The Google script may contact Google when pages load. Preview prices do not create subscriptions or process payments.

Google advertising, when enabled

Google and other third-party advertising providers may use cookies to serve ads based on prior visits to this site or other websites. Google advertising cookies allow Google and its partners to serve ads based on visits to this site and other sites on the internet. As a result of ad serving, third parties may place or read cookies or use web beacons and IP addresses to collect information.

You can manage Google personalized advertising through My Ad Center. Other participating advertising providers offer choices at YourAdChoices. Learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services. Where required, an advertising consent message will provide choices before optional advertising storage or personalization is used. Manual banner placements remain disabled until that mechanism is configured.

Use sample details

Use a fictional name and sample birthday while testing. Do not enter sensitive information or upload private media. Device storage is not an encrypted account vault, and someone using the same browser may be able to access it.
